I love animals especially dogs. They are the most wonderful friends one could ever ask for.
I am still grieving my pet's (Reine) loss.
I would love to volunteer for animal welfare related programmes in Bangalore.
Hello friends ,
I am kind of new to this site but am already overwhelmed by the great job undertaken by Burges and Zahir. I lost Reine, my female german shepherd of 9 yrs on the 27 th of feb this year. My heart aches for her every moment ever since.
What i write now is an appeal for help. Please read it carefully.
I stay in Richmond Town, Bangalore and i go past this big house every morning during my daily walk. Three beautiful GSDs adorn this villa. All stay in kennels outside the main house. Two of them are fine but the third, the most attentive and enterprising of the lot suffers from paralysis of the hind legs. This guy's zest for life amazes me each time i stop by to watch his activities .He is the first to sense someone near the gate and to race for the ball .All this he does dragging his hind legs behind and still he can win the show hands down. What an example of sheer determination and never-say-die attitude !
The owners seem disinterested in getting him a dog-mobile (walking aid).
I came across this website where all kinds of mobility aids are manufactured. Its a U.K based firm.
None of the companies manufacture that stuff in our country.
All i could think of was get one imported for this handsome doggie , so he can run around with much more ease and freedom without having to drag his hind legs behind. It must be hurting this baby a lot.
I was wondering if we all could get together and make this happen for our friend.
The displayed cost of the dog mobile for large breeds is 268 Pounds.
This translates to Rs.19300 approximately.
I would be making a contribution first. I am a homemaker and might not be able to incur the entire cost.
But i was just hoping if we all could shell out whatever we could to bring a smile on our friend's face, then its worth the effort afterall.
This is just a cry from the heart, maybe my departed furbaby wants me to help friends of her kind.
Kindly post your comments on what you have to say about this .
Thank you one and all for giving it a patient reading.
Carrying the love of Reine in my heart forever,
Sangeetha
