About Me
My love for horses began at the age of 14 right from the time of my first riding lesson. The fact that I trained under the esteemed instructor Col UPS Goddara, ensured I got a solid foundation and correct training. Having ridden horses competitively in India, after my year 12, I decided to pursue my dream of working with horses. Since Equestrian sport did not receive much prominence in India, I joined a veterinary school to pursue a career in horses. It took me two years to realise that my true calling lay in training horses. Thus I joined S. Marcus Oldham College in Australia , which exposed me to the international scenario and helped broaden my horizons for the future. rnrnUpon my return to India I started work as the yearling manger at Nanoli Stud Farm. During this time Nanoli emerged as one of the best farms in India. Backed by Mr.Dhunjibhoy, Nanoli was the premier farm in India on average earnings per starter from the year 2003-2005. I have reared & broken-in FEDORA(Winner Poonawalla Breeders Million 2005 Gr1, richest 2 year old race in India), ZURBARAN, NOBLE EAGLE (Indian Derby Winner 2003), ESTONIA(2nd Indian Derby 2004), OBLIGADO, HOLDING COURT, GIACOSA, VENUS ARISING,BERLIOZ, DIEGO RIVIERA to name few of the best.rn rnI then got a challenging opportunity to train exclusively for sports. In my three years in Chennai, I coached riders that went on to win at both the national and international level in equestrian sports. My main work in Chennai at the Chennai Equestrian Academy, was the training of an unbroken broad stallion named Oscar for show jumping and also to train him for artificial insemination. I successfully started my breeding campaign in 2007. This was the first time in India that an actively competing equestrian stallion had gone on to breed mares using artificial insemination. rn rnAs head of the equestrian section at the Amateur Riders Club in Mumbai since 2008, I currently train riders and conduct a wide range of equestrian activities at the ARC
